At ISE 2015 (10-12 Feb 2015, RAI, Amsterdam), Cabletime is to announce a number of updates to its flagship IPTV distribution product MediaStar Evolution, including brand new hardware.
All the new features have been designed to increase performance, flexibility and ease of use to customers and will be demonstrated in a series of presentations on the booth (Hall 10 Stand P116) every day.
Cabletime has selected ISE 2015 to reveal a new MediaStar Evolution feature that provides intelligent and auto-adaptive play out of any live video stream. Visitors will also see a preview of Cabletime’s 4K next generation hardware platform.
At the heart of the MediaStar Evolution system is Cabletime’s Media Manager which is used to schedule and control access to all media sources, monitor every part of an IPTV distribution network and provide control for all screen and workstation users regardless of their physical location within the data LAN.
At ISE 2015 Cabletime will reveal new features for this software suite including full LDAP integration, plus a video capture application to record video streams either instantly or time scheduled. Recorded stream files are automatically ingested to the MediaStar iVOD server.
The MediaStar Evolution Multi-Format Encoder (785-I) now features a full 3G 1080p HD-SDI input. The encoder auto selects the incoming video source from any input, these include dual HDMI, S-Video, CVBS and YPbPr. The 785 also features Power over Ethernet, so no PSU is required when connected to PoE switches and measures 215 x 133 x 35 mm.
