BenQ bolsters short throw projectors with interactive tech

BenQ has added second-generation PointDraw interactive projection technology to short throw projectors with the launch of its MW860USTi and MP780 ST+ models.

The projectors are designed for classrooms and offer dual pen support and have ultra-short-throw ratios of 0.37 and 0.49.

BenQ's second-generation PointDraw interactive projection technology comes with the new PointDraw Pen 2.0, which features a faster response time to support remote interactivity up to 25 feet away from the board or projected surface. Dual pen control is supported by QDraw 2.0 interactive software.

The MW860USTi and MP780 ST+ allow students to contribute to a lesson via individual independent tool bars, which operate under the teacher's guidance and control. The second-generation PointDraw technology requires no system calibration.

Additional features and functions include DLPLink to provide 3D visualisation, WXGA short-throw projection, 20-W built-in speaker power with audio pass-through and microphone input, LAN Display and USB Display options and USB Drive Display and Remote Desktop support.
