Barco adds to F-series range with laser phosphor projector

Barco is expanding its F-series projection range at ISE 2017 with a laser phosphor model. The F70 projector is available in two models, with 4K UHD and WUXGA native resolution, up to 8,000 lumens brightness. The F70 will be shipping from Q2 2017 onwards.

The F70 projector is suitable for fixed installation in venues such as museums, theme parks, auditoriums, and science centres.

Barco Pulse processing is inside the F70, and Pulse’s Single Step Processing (SSPTM) technology enables the F70 projector to achieve 4K UHD resolution in only one step.

The laser phosphor light source provides a long lifetime of up to 60,000 hours and eliminates the need for lamp replacements.

Another benefit of the laser phosphor light source is that it enables the F70 projector to run in any orientation, for more installation flexibility. It shares its user interface and FLD and FLD+ lens portfolio with the other Barco F-series projectors.

Tthis year’s Barco booth at ISE will see an F70 projector mounted on a moving, robotic arm. This setup demonstrates that the F70 has no mounting angle restrictions and can be rotated 360 degrees. Tested and certified up to 3G, the projector is suitable for motion-based projection in dark rides and simulators.
