AudioControl has announced partnerships with several architectural loudspeaker brands in a bid to provide DSP-optimised sound as part of its Director M-Series of amplifiers.
The manufacturer’s industry alliance initiative is called the AudioControl Sound Partners Programme. Its purpose is to collaborate with its members to implement performance profiles created by its engineers which, when stored in the DSP onboard the AudioControl Director M-Series of high-performance 8 and 16-channel amplifiers, are integral to a complete audio platform.
AudioControl has revealed that manufacturers including Origin Acoustics, James Loudspeaker, Triad Speakers and Stealth Acoustics have joined the program. Each company has provides performance measurements to AudioControl, allowing bespoke profiles to be created and stored in software form for integrators.
“With today’s loudspeaker designs, we acknowledge that products from these brands would likely require little if any fine-tuning in an ideal environment,” said AudioControl CEO, Alex Camara. “However when you factor in individual room acoustics, these speaker profiles achieve an important step in providing the integrator the tools to deliver a premium experience by calibrating the systems for their clients.”
AudioControl’s matrix-amplifier can be deployed as a standalone system, or used as part of a 3rd party control system from companies including Crestron, Savant and Control4.
