Allen & Heath has expanded its Qu digital range with the addition of its Qu-SB mixer / interface.
The stage box Qu-SB system brings tablet control to the Qu series. Suited to live venues, education and corporate environments, the system allows operators to mix from anywhere in a venue.
It features 16 XLR mic inputs, 2 line inputs and 14 outputs, with its Qu-32 core enabling it to be expanded to up to 32 mic input channels and 24 outputs, and allowing the mixer to connect over a single Cat5 digital snake to AB168, AR84 and AR2412 remote audio racks.
All control parameters on Qu-SB are provided via an iOS tablet app, with users able to block the operator’s access to critical settings.
Qu-SB’s built-in 18-channel Qu-Drive can record and playback multitrack and stereo audio .wav files to a USB key or drive.
It also provides two systems for monitoring: via the Qu-You iPhone app or using ME-1 personal mixers. Other features include Automatic Mic Mixing, footswitch controls and the iLive FX suite.
The Qu-SB is currently being shown at Allen & Heath’s stand in Hall 3.1, Stand F40 at Prolight + Sound 2016 in Frankfurt until Friday 8 April, 2016.
