The CIE-group has expanded its Clever Little Box range with a launch of the So.Net Cat5 audio distribution system. So.Net has been designed to simplify and speed up audio installations where multiple microphone or line inputs need to be situated at a distance from the amplifier equipment.
A single shielded Cat5 cable can run up to 4 channels of mic/line over a distance of up to 1km. The system comprises two double-gang face plates – input and output, each featuring 4 XLR connectors. The signals can be independently configured for balanced or unbalanced signals and mic or line level. There is also an option to provide phantom power to the microphone independently (to a maximum of 15v DC).
