INFOBIT launches HDMI to USB-C 4K60 converter

INFOBIT has expanded its signal conversion portfolio with the launch of the iTrans HC, a compact HDMI to USB-C converter designed to bridge traditional HDMI sources with modern USB-C display devices.

The iTrans HC converts HDMI input signals into USB-C output using DisplayPort 1.2 Alt Mode, enabling connection to USB-C monitors, projectors, and collaboration displays while maintaining full 4K video quality. INFOBIT says the device is aimed at professional AV, conferencing, and presentation environments where mixed-generation hardware is common.

Supporting video resolutions up to 4K at 60 Hz with full 4:4:4 colour, the converter delivers bandwidths of up to 18 Gbps and is compliant with HDMI 2.0b, HDCP 2.2, and DVI 1.0 standards.

Audio is also passed through, with support for up to 7.1-channel formats, including PCM, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio, making it suitable for high-quality multimedia and AV playback applications.

INFOBIT highlights the unit’s compact, plug-and-play design, allowing quick deployment without drivers or configuration, making it well suited to mobile presentation kits and fixed AV installations alike.
