Global – Market research company iSuppli has published its latest report into the world wide indoor venues display market.

The worldwide market for indoor displays is valued at an estimated $2.8 billion in 2006, accounting for 26% of the total signage and professional market. iSuppli expects the market for indoor venue's displays to increase at a CAGR of 8% to reach $3.9 billion in 2010.
It concludes that in 2006, driven by installations in the hospitality, restaurant and leisure segments, and rapid price reduction of displays, indoor venues is expected to be the biggest application in the signage and professional displays market.

LED Video is the display of choice for large venue sports arenas and civic centres, which require long distance viewing and high brightness. Large-venue front projectors will fulfil the needs for displays at convention centres, boardrooms and religious places. Plasma and LCD displays are rapidly growing in smaller venue applications such as the hospitality sector.

The "Other" indoor venues sector is the largest. It will account for almost $1.5 billion of revenue in 2006. This is expected to increase to some $2.4 billion by 2010.
The sector includes both high-end fixed installations such as at convention centres, auditoriums, theme parks, houses of worship and other types of regular information/entertainment displays at movie theatres, museums or medical facilities.
