Philips displays installed throughout Hard Rock Hotel in Amsterdam
Philips MediaSuite TVs were installed in all 173 guest rooms and suites inside the Hard Rock Hotel in Amsterdam as part of a recent refurbishment and upgrade program.

The Hard Rock Amsterdam, owned and operated by Dutch group, Eden Hotels, is in a heritage listed Art Nouveau building that is more than 120 years old. It contains a collection of music memorabilia, including possessions from artists such as Elton John, Slash and John Lennon.

PPDS, provider of Philips displays, worked with hospitality technology company Nonius to create a tailor-made Philips display product.

One-hundred-and-eighty interactive Philips MediaSuite 4K displays were installed throughout the hotel’s guest rooms and common areas. On entering their room, displays greet guests with a personalised welcome message accompanied by curated music, tailored to their genre preference. Guests can access interactive guitar and yoga lessons, as well as Hard Rock’s exclusive record player program.

The displays also allow guests to view their current invoices, book amenities, and make room service requests. The display language can also be changed. Netflix, Chromecast and Apple TV+ are built in.

Claire van Campen, general manager, Hard Rock Hotel Amsterdam American, said: “We’re very happy that we can give our guests a home-away-from-home feeling with Netflix and the interactive features offered through Philips MediaSuite.”
