Panasonic threw its weight behind large format 3D at this year’s ISE show, wowing visitors with its 3D enabled 152†plasma. Recently released video content explains the VX series technology behind the company’s large format 3D displays.
Enrique Robledo, European marketing manager of the Professional Plasma Business Unit, said the company had embarked on its first month of sales for the massive 152” display and initial signs looked positive.
He cited three sales of the product; one for the Lincoln Centre in Manhattan, one in Osaka and third purchased by rental company, Lang AV.
“The market is good for large format displays,” he said, adding that sales of the 103” model had rocketed. “3D is now a key area and the push is coming from consumer and broadcast markets”.
In the following video Matteo Riva, technical manager for Panasonic Professional Display in Europe, introduces the company's large format 3D displays on show at ISE 2011.
