An Optimal Audio sound system was selected to meet the varied needs of The King’s Head pub in Wrexham, UK.
A pub which serves food, drink, and stages a variety of events, the pub’s sound system found itself in dire need of an upgrade to meet its evolving needs.
Pivotal Sound & Lighting was selected to design and supply a new system for The King’s Head, recommending an Optimal Audio system to meet these changing needs.
The pub required a zoned system, with Pivotal Sound & Lighting delivering a ‘loud zone’ around the bar area, a ‘quieter zone’ and facilitating input audio from TV screens while still delivering quality audio and comprehensive control.

A Zone 8 controller was selected for the new system and WebApp for operation on staff members’ phones. For coverage of the pub, Pivotal installed two Cuboid 3, four Cuboid 5 and three Cuboid 8 two-way, full range loudspeakers, using three-in, five-in and eight-in models respectively.
A single Sub 10 sub-bass unit was also used, with the Zone 8 eight-zone audio controller tying the system together.
