Places of worship will have their own dedicated prize at the 2018 InAVation Awards and the category is open for entry now.
“For ten years, InAVation Awards judges have considered AV integration projects in churches, mosques, temples and synagogues within the Leisure & Entertainment category,” said Anna Mitchell group editor of InAVate. This year’s change reflects the fact that places of worship have their own distinct requirements that are unique to their specialist purpose.
“We’re pleased to bring this change in for the 2018 InAVation Awards, the year when we’ve opened all Project categories to installations carried out anywhere in the world. The Americas and parts of Asia have thriving markets for churches, temples and mosques and we hope the change will encourage some of the integrators of these amazing projects to get involved in the InAVation Awards this year.”
Hurrairah bin Sohail, editor of InAVate APAC, added: “In the last year I’ve visited some great examples of AV integration in churches and mosques in a number of countries in Asia. Increasingly the Houses of Worship market is installing concert grade audio systems and broadcast capable video systems.
“The customers are demanding, tech savvy and have high expectations and the AV integration market is rising to that challenge. I look forward to seeing entries into this category and am confident that Asian integrators will put forward some strong contenders.”
