d&b audiotechnik’s CCL System compact cardioid line array was shortlisted by judges and voted the best Loudspeaker by the readers of Inavate.
The CCL (Compact Cardioid Line Array) from d&b audiotechnik was voted a 2026 Inavation Awards Technology winner for bringing broadband cardioid directivity to a compact, passive line array format, with single-channel amplifier operation.
As the first product in the CL Series, CCL combines two 7-in front-firing drivers, two 5-in side/rear drivers and dual 1.75-in high-frequency transducers to deliver precise directivity, high headroom and low distortion. Its revised patented acoustic resonator and bandpass configuration create frequency-dependent delay, enabling gradient array behaviour in a passive design. The result is cardioid performance without the infrastructure complexity typically associated with multi-channel systems.
The flyable CCL-SUB, with front 15-in and rear 10-in drivers, extends low-frequency control while reducing port noise.
Weighing 18kg per cabinet and available in multiple dispersion options, CCL offers rental companies, integrators and venues SL-Series-grade control in a scalable, efficient system that simplifies rigging, cabling and deployment across corporate, touring and installation applications.
