Lumotion Studio delivers interactive experiences for Saudi museums
Lumotion Studio has delivered multiple interactive museum projects in Saudi Arabia, as part of the country’s 2030 program.

Lumotion Studio was tasked with blending digital storytelling with real-world engagement, delivering experiences at the Interactive Museum Tabuk and the Interactive Museum Al Jouf, as part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 program.

Interactive Museum Tabouk

The Interactive Museum Tabouk saw Lumotion Studio develop an interactive digital book experience that allows visitors to explore content through turning pages by hand, with an interactive wall that responders to user interactions in real time.

Digital content is displayed on a large LG touchscreen surface, as well as an interactive sandbox which uses white sand as a projector screen, with a topographic map image projected on the surface.

A 3D mapped wall and a 360 video show were created with Epson projectors to deliver dynamic visual displays, combining projection mapping and panoramic video content.

Interactive Museum Al Jouf

Located in the historical province of Dumat Al-Jandal, Lumotion delivered a 1,200 m2 space dedicated to cultural preservation and visitor engagement.

Lumotion Studio delivered a similar setup, including an interactive wall that reacts to movement and touch, interactive, digital tables to provide multimedia content for visitors, as well as another interactive sandbox and 3D mapping wall and 360 video show.

For effective spatial tracking, Lumotion delivered Microsoft Kinect sensors to enable visitors to interact with digital content using gestures and body movement, as well as RPLiDAR A3M1 360 degree laser scanners to provide precise spatial tracking.

Tony Tertyschnyk, CEO, Lumotion Studio, commented: “Both museums are a testament to our belief that learning should be interactive, memorable, and enjoyable. By merging technology with storytelling, Lumotion Studio continues to push the boundaries of what museums can achieve.

“We envision a future where museums evolve into interactive platforms — blending the physical with the virtual to transport visitors into immersive digital realms. Through this fusion, we aim to foster deeper connections with cultural heritage and empower visitors to explore history in unprecedented ways.”
