European public research institution Radboud University, has partnered with Extron and Dutch AV integrator Fidato to modernise its instructional spaces with a flexible, scalable, and future-ready AV systems.
The university selected Extron’s NAV Pro AV over IP system to support its growing need for adaptable learning environments, where both instructors and students can collaborate easily.
The installation upgraded three classrooms on the Heyendaal campus, introducing advanced distribution, switching, and control technologies that improve usability while preparing the university for anticipated changes in how teaching spaces will be designed and used.

With the new systems, each classroom now supports multiple collaborative clusters, intuitive instructor control via Extron TouchLink Pro touchpanels, and centralised management through the NAVigator System Manager. These enhancements not only simplify daily operations but also establish a reliable foundation for integrating additional classrooms into a wider networked AV infrastructure.
Encouraged by the positive response from faculty and staff, Radboud has already committed to a second phase that will extend the same design to five more learning spaces, ensuring consistency, scalability, and long-term value across the university’s AV ecosystem.
