Extron room scheduling panels make the grade at MSTC
Extron room scheduling panels have enhanced operations at Wisconsin’s Mid-State Technical College (MSTC), helping students and staff to reach the right rooms at the right times.

MSTC’s newly opened Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering, Technology, and Apprenticeship Centre (AMETA), is a training destination designed to cultivate the next generation of technical workers who specialise in precision machining and inspection, robotic machine tending, lights-out manufacturing, automated manufacturing, and process control automation.

With more than 120 classrooms and meeting spaces, booked with the 25Live academic and event scheduling platform, an effective room scheduling touchpanel offering was required to turn navigation into an effortless operation.

Extron TLS TouchLink scheduling panels are placed at each room entrance, helping students, faculty, and visitors to reach the correct rooms when navigating hallways to attend classes and events. The TLS scheduling panels work as 25Live clients through the campus’ LAN, configured using Extron Room Agent software.

The panels are configured with Extron Room Agent software, working with popular calendar services. Using Room Agent, the scheduling panel GUIs can be customised to display specific meeting information required for any application or to meet any institutional standard.

Extron worked closely with the college’s technical team to improve the version of Room Agent software that is supplied to the school, allowing the TLS scheduling panels to format the 25Live data into display fields that show needed information in formats suited to the school’s unique needs.
