Exterity will integrate Motorola's SecureMedia Encryptonite ONE solution into its AvediaPlayer Receiver range to allow organisations to protect and monetise content streamed across Local Area Networks (LANs).
The development comes after Motorola Mobility approved enterprise IPTV specialist, Exterity as an authorised reseller of its SecureMedia solution.
IBC (Amsterdam, September 7 to 11) will see Exterity demonstrate the integrated solution on its stand in the Connected World (14.110).
Motorola SecureMedia’s Encryptonite ONE solution provides digital rights management (DRM) protection to meet the security requirements. The integrated solution ensures content is limited to only authorised Exterity AvediaPlayer receivers, meaning companies can securely distribute live broadcast TV channels and video on demand across their local network.
"Broadcasters are increasingly being asked to deliver content into businesses and other organisational environments where the LAN is often the primary method of distributing content to ensure the integrity of this content and proper monetisation of the service being provided, broadcasters are increasingly requiring the application of a network DRM solution," said Colin Farquhar, CEO of Exterity.
"We’re delighted to have been authorised as a Motorola Mobility channel partner as our integration with SecureMedia enables us to distribute video content securely across an Exterity IPTV system."
