d&b audiotechnik introduces DS110 Soundscape processing engine
d&b audiotechnik has launched the DS110, an upgraded processing engine for its Soundscape platform, adding increased performance and expanded connectivity for immersive and spatial audio systems.

The DS110 builds on the capabilities of the DS100 and is designed to support larger and more demanding Soundscape deployments. The updated hardware provides additional processing headroom, with channel capacity of up to 128 Dante input channels at 96 kHz.

The unit also adds integrated MADI connectivity, supporting up to 128 inputs and 64 outputs at either 48 or 96 kHz. This expanded I/O is intended to meet the needs of modern productions requiring higher channel counts and flexible signal routing.

Robb Allan, head of product management, Soundscape at d&b audiotechnik, said: “By increasing processing headroom and expanding connectivity, we’re not only improving performance today, but also laying the groundwork for future developments within the Soundscape ecosystem.”

The DS110 remains fully compatible with existing Soundscape software and licences, allowing current users to transition without changing their wider workflow.

d&b Soundscape combines signal processing, d&b loudspeaker systems and software modules including En-Scene and En-Space. The platform is used to position sound objects and shape acoustic environments across theatre, live performance and fixed installations.

Recent Soundscape projects include Paddington in London’s West End, New York’s Perelman Performing Arts Center, the Hong Kong East Kowloon Cultural Centre and Lumen Field in Seattle.
