Martin Audio loudspeakers have been installed at Arc Community, a new wellness venue in London’s Canary Wharf designed to combine contrast therapy, social spaces and immersive audio experiences.
Delivered by Evolve AV, the installation centres on Martin Audio’s CDD Series and was designed to support a wide range of operating modes, from low-level ambient playback during wellness sessions to high-energy DJ events held as part of the venue’s “Arc After Dark” programme.
Arc Community focuses on contrast therapy, combining heat and cold exposure through communal saunas and ice baths within a social environment. Audio plays a central role throughout the space, particularly in the lounge area, which is used for meditation, breathing exercises and evening events.
According to Evolve AV’s Elliot Patterson, the main challenge was designing a system capable of delivering both discreet background sound and higher-output performance within the same space.
The final system uses four Martin Audio CDD6 loudspeakers supported by an SX210 subwoofer. The compact loudspeakers were selected to maintain the clean visual aesthetic of the venue while still providing the output required for DJ-led sessions.
Patterson said: “The CDD6s are very discreet - you can walk in and you won’t even notice them - but when you turn the system up, it sounds massive.”
