Barco has announced it is integrating technology from Vidyo, a provider of HD and UHD video conferencing, into its TransForm C enterprise collaboration system to enable high-quality universal VTC communications.
Barco will showcase its new integrated system, spanning from the Barco stand (Barco 11-F78 & 11-H75) and connecting to a Vidyo demonstration in stand (2-A42) at ISE 2015 in Amsterdam.
This demonstration offers a preview of Barco’s anticipated market release of the solution, with commercial availability by end of Q1 2015.
The strategic alliance between Barco and Vidyo addresses the need for an immersive collaborative visualisation system with integrated telepresence capabilities for high-end collaboration spaces such as executive briefing centers and boardrooms to smaller-scale situation, crisis response rooms and control rooms.
The combined solution provides an alternative to hard-wired VTC platforms with limited collaboration features.
The new Barco collaboration system connects natively to Vidyo’s standard portfolio. Barco’s solution uses Vidyo’s technology to translate the native VTC streams into low-latency, HD-quality multipoint video conferencing images. Users can configure and display multiple, dynamic VTC windows on a large display wall, integrate meeting room collaboration through the ClickShare one-touch, screen-sharing system, and control source placement and size through Barco’s TransForm C display management software system. The TransForm C user interface runs on Barco’s OverView OSV Series videowall for collaboration spaces, as well as on the OBLX system, which features the OverView KVD or OVD LCD panels for mid-range meeting room environments.
