Audiotonix to acquire DPA Microphones, Wisycom and Austrian Audio
Audiotonix has announced plans to acquire three microphone and wireless audio specialists - DPA Microphones, Wisycom and Austrian Audio - further expanding its portfolio of professional audio technology brands.

The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to complete in the first half of 2026.

The three companies bring complementary expertise across microphones, RF and wireless systems, and personal audio tools. Denmark-based DPA Microphones is known for high-precision condenser microphones used across live sound, theatre, film and installation markets. Italian manufacturer Wisycom specialises in advanced wireless audio and RF solutions for broadcast, live events, corporate and location sound. Austrian Audio, headquartered in Vienna, develops microphones, headphones and audio tools, drawing on decades of acoustical engineering heritage.

Following completion, the brands will join Audiotonix’s existing group of professional audio companies, which includes Allen & Heath, Calrec, DiGiCo, Solid State Logic, Sound Devices, KLANG:technologies and sonible, among others.

Commenting on the deal, James Gordon, CEO of Audiotonix, said: “With the development work we have been investing in with Sound Devices, it makes technological sense to add Wisycom to the team. The next logical step is to move closer to the performer with microphones, and DPA as a premium brand is the ultimate choice.”

He added: “Austrian Audio, with their decades of microphone and headset design experience, have immense potential and will help complement our existing and future portfolio.”

Kalle Hvidt Nielsen, CEO of DPA Microphones, highlighted shared customer bases and technical alignment across the group, stating that joining Audiotonix provided “the opportunity to offer more premium solutions to discerning, quality focused customers”.
