Audinate acquires Iris Studio to enhance remote production and monitoring capabilities
Audinate Group has announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Iris Studio, a company specialising in AI-powered, cloud-based camera control technology.

Iris created a control-first video production platform, designed to allow users to manage cameras remotely by using features such as AI-driven auto tracking, real-time colour correction and cloud recording from a cloud-based interface.

The brand-agnostic platform is enabled on a range of PTZ cameras available on the market, and can also be applied to encoders, decoders, and vision mixers.

The acquisition aims to strengthen Audinate’s video platform capabilities, with the wider goal of establishing interoperable control and management across the AV device ecosystem.

Iris has partnered with 14 camera manufacturers, including Lumens, PTZOptics, Marshall, BirdDog, Telycam, AIDA and more.

Aidan Williams, CEO and co-founder, Audinate, commented: “The addition of Iris to the Dante ecosystem is a major step forward for the Dante platform.
