Apple unveils €3,277 AR headset
Apple has unveiled its Vision Pro headset, the company’s first hardware launch in ten years.

Retailing at €3,277, the Vision Pro headset features a two-hour battery life and will be released early in 2024.

Apple’s new design resembles a set of goggles rather than a traditional headset, offering users the ability to access apps, watch movies or write documents virtually.

The headset can be operated using a combination of the user’s hands, eyes and voice. Users can tap their fingers to select and flick their fingers to scroll.

The Vision Pro operates using visionOS, a spatial operating system, with a display system that features 23 million pixels across two displays and a dual-chip design.

Tim Cook, CEO, Apple, commented: “Today marks the beginning of a new era for computing. Just as the Mac introduced us to personal computing, and iPhone introduced us to mobile computing, Apple Vision Pro introduces us to spatial computing. Built upon decades of Apple innovation, Vision Pro is years ahead and unlike anything created before — with a revolutionary new input system and thousands of groundbreaking innovations. It unlocks incredible experiences for our users and exciting new opportunities for our developers.”
