Broadcasting the good word in houses of worship

Churches and technology are not a natural fit, but more and more houses of worship are going far beyond a few loudspeakers to get their message to the congregation.

For many the idea of AV in a church means a man in a dress speaking to the congregation on  a microphone. But times have changed.

"The days of somebody standing up in a pulpit with just a mic are long, long gone. It’s a complete and utter misconception," says Derek Clare, from dedicated house of worship (HoW) AV integrator New Day.

Clare goes on to cite a recent HoW installation his company has completed in London that seats 4,500 worshippers and broadcasts worldwide from its own TV station.  From traditional to more modern church groups, HoW have woken up to the benefits of AV technology as part of the service.
