The festival known as SCI-FI- LONDON 8 takes place April 29 to May 4 at the Apollo Piccadilly Circus. This year sees a change to previous years with the edition of a SCI-FI LAB. “We have created the SCI-FI-LONDON LAB as film makers often tell us that sci-fi is tough to make due to a perceived need for special effects or lack of credible stories,†said festival director Louis Savy. The LAB explores alternative ways of telling stories, something with fewer FX shots. Real scientists will be there to talk about the current state of technology, space research, physics breakthroughs and more. The LAB sits amidst a programme of the best Science fiction and fantastic film from around the world.
