Optimal Audio system overhauls UK bar and restaurant
An Optimal Audio sound system was selected to revamp the Old House bar and restaurant in Northampton, UK.

Undergoing a complete refurbishment after a decade as a popular destination pub, this venue comprises a floor bar and courtyard garden where patrons can enjoy DJs, live performers,  and televised sport. The upstairs section consists of a restaurant with gastro-pub favourites.

The venue’s audio system required an upgrade to meet the requirements of this multi-functional venue, turning to AV specialist Cosmic Electronics to design and supply an Optimal Audio sound system.

The sound design had to be competitively-priced and blend in discreetly with the venue’s meticulously-designed aesthetics. An Optimal Audio system was selected to tick these boxes, serving effectively as background music in the dining area while also featuring the flexibility to accommodate for DJ sets and live sports downstairs.

12 on-wall Cuboid 8 two-way, full-range, passive loudspeakers were installed in combination with five discreetly positioned Sub 15 sub-bass loudspeakers.

12 Cuboid 5 and three Sub 10 sub-bass loudspeakers were used for the orangery and private dining room, whilst the restaurant features six Up 6 two-way passive, full range ceiling speakers. An additional six Up 6 units were installed for the facility’s toilets and washrooms.
