Lighthouse presides over Hong Kong Sevens

Lighthouse provided two LED screens for the 2010 Hong Kong Sevens tournament. The screens were placed at the stadium’s North Stand and Sevens Village at the Indian Recreation Club.

More than 110,000 fans from around the world attended the event. In the North Stadium Lighthouse installed 30m² screen constructed of R7-ER tiles. The screen displayed real-time playback, important match details and sponsorship information. Meanwhile a 50m² LED screen, installed at the Sevens Village, allowed rugby fans that couldn’t get tickets to follow the action.

The tournament was broadcast in high-definition and the two screens were paired with Lighthouse’s own video controllers.

Warrick Dent, head of events and communication at the Hong Kong Rugby Football Union, said: "Hong Kong Sevens has been held successfully in Hong Kong for many years. Every year we also get to enjoy the benefits of Lighthouse’s latest technology, which adds so much drama to the matches."
