Stage Audio Works revitalises Bridge Church’s AV systems
Bridge Church in Johannesburg required an overhaul to expand alongside its growing congregation, hiring Stage Audio Works to deliver a new system.

As part of the renovation, Stage Audio Works (SAW) was brought on board to design, supply and deliver a full audio overhaul, as well as a turnkey house lighting system with additions to the existing stage lighting system.

The installation also required flexible control for the entire system, making it easy for the church volunteers to use.

SAW’s brief was to provide a significant upgrade to the church’s audio offering, installing a Plus Audio system to accommodate for a larger audience. SAW also strengthened the front-of-house capabilities with a new Yamaha CL3 console and RIO stage boxes with more inputs and outputs.

An overall control system was also needed for the church’s house lighting, LED switching and aircon. The control system is based around a Q-Sys core, giving the staff total control over the facility in the building’s main areas: The auditorium, foyer, café, deck and toilets.

For the house lighting, SAW provided 36 Stage Plus RGBW LED lights with integrated convection cooling, with the stage covered by six Acme wash lights, fixed to a trussing system provided by Total Fabrications. Both systems are connected to and controlled by the Q-Sys network.
