Groz-Beckert, a German textile company, has created a multi-purpose auditorium in its new R&D wing in Stuttgart. The theatre, designed for concerts and corporate events, also hides a surround sound system that, when needed, revolves from the venue’s walls.

EV supports 2011 World Ski Championships

Electro-Voice has provided sound reinforcement at the central Medal Plaza for the World Skiing Championships in Germany. The company supplied XLVC line arrays driven by CPS and TG7 amplifiers for the Garmisch-Patenkirchen event attended by more than 100,000 fans.

Sanyo on the red carpet for Oscar Party

The Ambler Theartre’s 2011 Oscar Party in Pennsylvania used Sanyo projectors to show the prestigious event to 450 attendees. Preshow events at the theatre entrance were projected from a Sanyo PLC-XP46, telecast from a Samsung tuner and switched through a Kramer VP-728 seamless presentation switcher.

NanoLumens is backdrop to Bike Show

A NanoLumens flexible display was recently used by exhibition production company, Standby, as a backdrop to the London Bike Show in ExCel. The 112” screen was hung on a truss above the live action in the Skoda Bike Arena and showed sponsor videos, associated footage and company logos.

L’Opéra Bastille in Paris has installed an Ateïs International IP-based communications system to keep stage managers, performers and crew informed of the activities of the opera house. Ateïs France installed the paging and monitoring equipment at the 2,723-seat venue.

K&F makes BMW heard at World Expo ground

BMW Group presented its product range to 2,000 guests at the Chinese pavilion in the Shanghai World Expo fairground. The hall’s fixed sound system was complemented by Kling & Freitag Scena 15 monitors.
