Barco opens Commonwealth Games

Barco has provided 32 FLM R22+ projectors for the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India. At the start of the ceremony a helium filled balloon, measuring 40 x 80 x 12 m and boasting 360° projection, lifted up from the centre of the stadium.

The UK’s Loughborough University’s facilities management team recently decided to install a permanent sound system in its sports hall. The team previously hired systems for the various events - including speeches, announcements and graduation ceremonies – held in the David Wallace Sports Hall.

The Crown Property Bureau of Thailand has created an interactive learning centre at the Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall. Advance Technology Contracting (ATC), a Thai AV system integrator handled the installation, employing a Medialon control system.

Optocore enters Commonwealth Games

The XIX Commonwealth Games held in Delhi, UK this year relied on Optocore devices to utilise digital fibre networks for the broadcast of action across the world. The network was commissioned by SIS Live, the European OB and uplink supplier that was awarded the multi-million dollar contract by broadcaster Doordarshan.
