Interactive learning

A special needs school in Surrey, UK has implemented a GestureTek GroundFX interactive system in its sports hall. The school’s staff believe the gesture based solution is great in engaging students that fail to respond to other stimuli.

Legacy of liberation

The Liliesleaf Legacy project explores the events surrounding the capture of the “Rivonia 12”, members of the SA Communist Party and ANC who served life sentences after their capture. The farm, that was the façade for liberation struggle activities and the location of the capture of six of the trialists, now houses exhibits to explain and explore the struggle against the Apartheid regime.

Investment in the future

Chris Fitzsimmons reports on exciting new developments at a Southern English secondary school, the Marsh Academy, whose sponsorship from both Microsoft and Tonbridge School has enabled it to invest in new learning spaces and technology to match. The installation of the latest phase has been carried out by RTS, a company which appears not to understand the meaning of the term “off-the-shelf”
