Control and automation manufacturer RTI has bolstered its engineering team with the appointment of Kevin Flanders as its director of engineering.
In this new role, Flanders (pictured above) will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of all RTI product solutions, working closely with RTI Co-Founder, CTO, Kevin Marty.
And returning to RTI is Mark Melville, who will lead the company's hardware engineering team.
Flanders brings over 20 years of product development experience spanning several industries, including security, IoT, SaaS, and defense. He comes to RTI from General Dynamics, where he led a team of developers specialising in mission-critical computing products for airborne systems. Previously, he served as senior manager at Unisys and has led engineering teams at UTC Fire & Security, GE Security (Interlogix), and Interactive Technologies.
Melville returns to RTI to take over as senior hardware engineer. He was a hardware engineer at RTI for 11 years before joining Beckett Thermal Solutions in 2019, where he was responsible for developing furnace, water heater, and boiler controls.
