Prysm is poised to enter the UK market with its LPD technology following a partnership agreement with AV distributor PSCo.
The Laser Phosphor Display (LPD) technology has generated keen interest from the professional display world, boasting low power consumption, design flexibility and eco-credentials.
The current LPD range, due to be available from June 2010, features a 25” panel, which is designed to be completely bezel-less with a 0.2mm seam.
PSCo will be supporting the introduction of Prysm technology in the UK, with demonstration screens available for viewing at its new Reading headquarters from this month.
Stuart Holmes, managing director of PSCo, said: “LPD is a huge step forward in the professional display market and will give system integrators and consultants an alternative to consider in almost every display application. Its picture quality and high brightness means it offers a high resolution alternative to LED, while it’s lack of degradation and low cost of ownership means it‘s a viable alternative to plasma, LCD and projection.”
PSCo will be the distribution and service partner for the technology, offering AV integrators a training programme, demonstration facilities and technical support in specifying the screen. The PSCo team will also be working with Prysm in a bid to create a range of accessories for integration in both rental and permanent applications.
