The MX36 DSP Enabled Console Switching System features 36 inputs in 2U across analogue, AES and Dante networks, arranged in sets of four.
All AES inputs on the MX36 console have SRC, with one set of four outputs available simultaneously across analogue, AES and Dante networks with Word Clock output sync available on AES.
Switching takes place digitally with soft cross-fades primarily to switch up to three consoles, each with up to three levels of redundancy.
Primary and secondary sources can be selected based on availability of support on the console (AES, Dante or analogue), with the MX36 automatically selecting the secondary should the primary source fail.
Without failover with redundancy, the MX36 can handle up to 9 consoles, accommodating three of each consoles on analogue, AES and Dante.
A mono mic is included for announcements, featuring selectable routing as well as clarity filtering in DSP and switchable 48v phantom power.
A stereo line input with filtering, selectable routing and balanced rear inputs alongside an unbalanced 3.5mm jack front panel input are included as well as headphone monitoring of each line individually, including extended PFL style metering.
Dante allows for units to operate in either cascade or parallel modes, extending the input set sizes or number of consoles that may be simultaneously switched, being user configurable via the front panel.
