TrueConf and IAORA partner for 4k holographic conferencing box

At GITEX 2024, TrueConf unveiled a system for immersive 4K video conferencing with live presence effect in collaboration with IAORA.

The box enables the display of a life-sized, realistic hologram of a speaker using TrueConf video conferencing technologies and the IAORA screen with reflecting elements. IAORA, is hologram company from Dubai.

The developers used TrueConf video conferencing technologies and the IAORA 4K UltraHD screen with reflecting elements that allowed creating a transparency effect of the box, enhancing a three-dimensional projection of a person.

The operation principle has not changed. A remote user simply needs good lighting, a chroma key, and a 4K camera connected to a PC running TrueConf application which is used to transmit the video stream to the screen of the 2-metre-high box. One may use both a specialised camera or a mobile phone camera that supports 4K UltraHD.

TrueConf Server, an on-premises UC platform, is used as a connecting core among meeting participants, the box, and a remote speaker whose projection is displayed.
