Polycom has announced availability of Polycom RealPresence Mobile 2.2, a software update for its video collaboration app.
The upgrade includes Polycom SmartPairing, content sharing, and SVC support for Android devices, as well as new support for the Apple iPad mini and Apple iPhone 5.
SmartPairing allows control of Polycom room systems and is available on Android as well as iOS. It wirelessly pairs tablets to Polycom’s videoconferencing systems.
Users can control video meeting functions such as volume, mute and start/stop with tablets and can walk into a conference room while live on a mobile video call and transfer the call from a tablet to big screen with a swipe gesture.
