California based OWI, manufacturer of audio equipment, expanded its self-amplified speaker line with the AMP1SGB. The product is a 25-Watt amplifier that fits into a UL rated double gang box.
Each in-wall amplifier delivers up to 25 watts of Class AB power at the speaker and can effectively drive four speakers. One line will support up to 20 amplifiers.
OWI says that the product brings self-amplification to surface-mounted speakers.
