Netgear has announced the launch of its AV Line, a ground-built series of switches for the AVoIP market.
The M4250 AV interface includes common AV controls with user-selectable profiles for common AV platforms, supporting advanced configuration and Negear’s web-based IT GUI alongside console, telnet and SSH connections.
A standard out-of-band Ethernet port is also available with static, RIP and PIM routing as well as a DHCP server and PTPv2.
Support for audio video bridging (AVB) is provided for transporting content over a network, with all M4250 AV line switches able to optionally licensed for AVB support.
The M2450 line targets 1Gbps codecs and can be integrated with rack-mounted AV equipment, with the option for reverse rack mounting via an included pair of recessed rackmount ears for cabling.
Additional mounting options are available, with universal, threaded holes on the bottom and front of the switches.
The series is available with models ranging from eight to 16 ports with a variety of PoE+ and Ultra90 PoE++ options.
Uplink choices are also available including 1G gor audio installations as well as 10G uplinks for large-scale video use.
