NEC has updated its MultiSync X461UN 46†display with Dark Edge Compensation technology, which it claims will improve brightness distribution and network features.
“Dark Edge Compensation”, known as “EdgeComp”, is a function developed by NEC Display Solutions and its new version also offers a DisplayPort connection.
NEC claims that “EdgeComp” provides users of video wall installations in the digital signage sector with an even distribution of light on the LCD public display panel. EdgeComp is activated via the on-screen display (OSD) and is said to generate a homogeneous overall picture without dark spots or shadows at the edges. It can be used as an optional feature.
The MultiSync X462UN also features extended network properties, such as SNMP support. Furthermore, the new version of the 46” monitor will also support the display of network information such as the IP and MAC address of individual components via the OSD.
