Meyer Sound launches self-powered loudspeaker and subwoofer at ISE 2020

Meyer Sound debuted its Ultra-X20 point source loudspeaker and USW-112P subwoofer at the show, with the Ultra-X20 filling a gap as a smaller version of Meyer Sound’s Ultra-X40 loudspeaker launched at ISE 2019.

Ultra-X20 Loudspeaker

The Ultra-X20 features two five-in cone drivers, one two-in diaphragm compression driver and a rotatable 110 degrees x 50 degrees horn in a coaxial configuration, with power provided by a three-channel Class D amplifier with DSP.

The Ultra-X20 is available with three connector panel options, with two AC powered versions featuring looping Powercon connectors with a choice of three-pin XLR for audio or five-pin XLR for audio and RMS remote monitoring.

Another model is available for integration in IntelligentDC systems (audio and remote DC powering on one cable) with a five-pin Phoenix connector.

Two additional variants with a different pattern of the rotatable horn: The Ultra-X22 (80 degrees x 50 degrees) and the Ultra-X23 (110 degrees x 110 degrees) are also available.

Two additional variants are offered, identical except for the patterns of the rotatable horn: ULTRA-X22 (80°x 50°) and ULTRA-X23 (110°x 110°).

A removeable carry handle is included with two integral M8 rigging points on each end to allow for the use of a pole mount, single point hang, wall or ceiling mounting or yoke mount in horizontal or vertical orientation at a variety of angles.

Four additional M6 points on the heatsink are compatible with a range of wall mount brackets, with a weather protected version available with sealed connectors that allow for operation without rain hoods.

The Ultra-X20 can be paired with the USW-112P subwoofer, the 750-LFC low-frequency control element or USW-210P subwoofer.

The Ultra-X20 is natively aligned with the 750-LFC for use in portable applications.

The USW-112P subwoofer includes a slanted connector panel to allow for flush placement to walls in vertical or horizontal orientation, including a single 12-in long-excursion driver with a Class D amplifier and advanced digital signal processing.

Versions of the USW-112P are available with either direct AC powering or for integration into systems with IntelligentDC.

A removable carry handle and M8 rigging points are included on the top and bottom, with a side mounted, 35mm/M20 thread pole mount receptacle available as an option.

With an M20 to M8 thread adapter, the USW-112P can be flown from one eyebolt, with an optional U-bracket allowing for mounting to a truss, ceiling or wall.

A weather protected version features sealed connectors (IP-X4 or higher rating), allowing for use without a rain hood.
