TEN: World’s 'largest LED display' coming to first sphere structure


When you publish news of the largest LED display in the world, people are bound to take notice and our story on the MSG Sphere under construction in Las Vegas clocked in as the 10th most read story of the year. We’re still watching this one with interest.

 

NINE: Inavate 40 under 40 - The class of 2021

It was our annual 40 under 40 that was the ninth most read story of the year. Once again 40 young and talented individuals were highlighted as rising stars of the AV industry, and it seems that our readers were keen to know who they were.

 

EIGHT: Saudi Arabia pavilion wows Expo 2020 visitors with multimedia spectacular

This astonishing AV installation attracted thousands of views as the world’s attention turned to Dubai Expo 2020. It smashed records and captivated audiences far and wide, and Inavate had the exclusive on the AV technology installation powering show.

 

SEVEN: VIDEO: Private equity fund acquires controlling stake in Kramer

News of the acquisition of Kramer caught the industry’s interest. Inavate EMEA editor Paul Milligan managed to secure a rare interview with Kramer CEO Itzhak Bambagi to discuss the company’s future.

 

SIX: ISE 2021 moves from one big show to 4 local events across Europe

After an initial delay, in March ISE made the decision to pursue smaller events in four locations across Europe throughout June. Sadly, the Munich and Amsterdam legs would go on to be cancelled, but Barcelona and London went ahead. While small, the events attracted warm feedback from an industry that by that point was desperate to meet again.

 

FIVE: Finalists revealed for 2022 Inavation Awards Project categories

A recent story pops up at number five as Inavate readers head online to discover Inavation Awards Project shortlists. Business category finalists, followed by Technology category finalists were our 6th and 7th most read stories of 2021 but to keep it interesting we’ve included them alongside the project categories.

With supply chain issues the headline topic of 2021, it’s no surprise that our deep dive into how product and component shortages, as well as shipping woes, are affecting the AV industry. This one clocked in at number four of our most read charts. At the time, Paul Milligan wrote “things are set to get worse before they get better”. He wasn’t wrong.

And finally, the most read story of the year revealed the winners of the 2021 Inavation Awards. The pandemic at first saw the awards delayed, and then moved online. The format was different, and we missed celebrating with the industry in person, but the calibre of our 2021 entries, finalists and winners remained as high as ever.
