Kordz has launched the PLX-HDB.3 HDMI extender consisting of a transmitter and receiver. Using HDBaseT the PLX-HDB.3 can extend 1080p and 4K HDMI signals over Cat6/Cat6a cable up to 70m (1080p) /40m (4K 18Gbps), power (PoC), and enable IR and RS232 pass-through to control source or display a device remotely.
It adopts video compression technology (VLC) to provide HD lossless transmission of HDR and 4K 2160p@60Hz 4:4:4.
The maximum 18 Gbps bandwidth supports the full range of features of the current HDMI specification, including UHD 2160p and 3D video. The PLX-HDB.3 supports HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2
The compact metal housing has optional mounting tabs to enable concealed installations, and the housing also acts as a heat sink, allowing continual use without the need for a noisy fan.
A simplified front display gives feedback on connection status and HDMI transmission with or without HDCP.
