HTC Vive announces new enterprise VR features

HTC Vive has announced a range of new and improved enterprise capabilities for the Vive Focus Plus VR headset, addressing operational and security concerns.

Support of device management solutions by VMware and MobileIron is included, allowing organisations to remotely manage devices, applications and settings by using existing licenses or obtaining them directly without additional applications and settings.

Users can connect to corporate networks remotely by using a built-in VPN or staying offline when needed to comply with security regulations.

Addition of screen recording functionality is included for replaying of training or remote collaboration in VR and on TVs, tablets and PCs, with enhanced screen sharing features included for Miracast which allows the VR screen to be shared to Windows 10 PCs, TVs and tablets that suppor the Miracast standard.

An unrestricted kiosk mode allows the Vive Focus Plus to be used as a fixed-purpose device, enabling app restriction and hiding distractions such as alerts, additional apps or navigation.
