HK Audio has expanded its Polar MK2 series with the Polar 8 MK2, the most compact model in the range to date.
The all-in-one column system is designed for professional sound reinforcement in small stages, rehearsal rooms, conferences and events, combining a compact form factor with integrated mixing, DSP and Bluetooth connectivity. It is also available in a white finish for applications such as weddings and corporate events where visual integration is important.
The Polar 8 MK2 uses six 2.5in neodymium midrange drivers arranged in HK Audio’s Curved Column configuration, designed to provide even coverage with 120-degree horizontal and 45-degree vertical dispersion. The system also includes an integrated 8-in subwoofer housed in a metal-reinforced, low-resonance plastic enclosure.
A 1,200W Class D amplifier provides system power, supported by 24-bit DSP and a multiband limiter designed to maintain stable output at higher volume levels.
The system includes a newly developed Contour control, allowing users to adjust continuously between DJ, Music and Voice voicings rather than relying on fixed presets. This is intended to help users tailor the system for speech, music playback or DJ applications.
An integrated three-channel mixer provides two mic/line inputs plus an aux/Bluetooth channel, allowing microphones, instruments, DJ equipment or external audio sources to be connected directly without an external mixer in many setups.
Bluetooth 5 audio streaming is included, while True Wireless Stereo allows two Polar 8 MK2 systems to be paired wirelessly for stereo operation.
The system ships with a carry bag for the column elements and a transport case for the subwoofer, supporting mobile use and fast setup.
