Genelec to launch 3440A IP PoE subwoofer at InfoComm 2024

Genelec will debut its 3440A Smart IP PoE subwoofer at InfoComm 2024, providing Power over Ethernet for a variety of applications.

The 3440A receives power and audio-over-IP, with an RJ45 connector which allows access to Genelec’s Smart IP Manager configuration software, allowing installers to configure a scalable number of rooms, zones, loudspeakers, and audio channels.

System organisation, status monitoring, and room equalisation tool sets are available, including adjustment of the 3440A’s crossover frequency, with a public API command set and an expanding range of drivers that allow integration of Smart IP models with third party automation and control systems.

A 70 W internal Class D amplifier stage and dual reflex ports are included, with controlled low frequency performance between 35 and 120 Hz. The subwoofer can produce 106 dB of short-term SPL when needed and includes Genelec’s Intelligent Signal Sensing circuity to enable greater efficiency through activating a low power ‘sleep’ mode if no audio is detected for a defined period.

The subwoofer can be positioned on the floor, or mounted on the wall or ceiling via an optional heavy-duty bracket.
