DirectOut has debuted its RAV2 OEM Ravenna network audio module for integration into third party products. The module forms the Ravenna AoIP network core of DirectOut’s Prodigy series of multifunction audio processors and converters for pro audio, broadcast, installation and studio applications.
The RAV2 allows for integration of Ravenna, AES67 and SMPTE ST 2110-30/31 with support for ST 2022-7 classes.
128x128 audio channels audio channels in up to 32 network streams with sample rates up to 192 kHz and can be used in synchronised wide area network (WAN) environments with more than 500 ms latency or on local networks with latency down to one sample per packet, less than 1 ms.
Built-in PTP Grandmaster capability (multicast and hybrid mode) is included, alongside a customisable and scalable HTML-based GUI with network traffic display, a selection of PTP profiles, jitter monitoring, stream monitoring and configuration with password protection.
MDNS and SAP stream announcement is included with automatic and full manual stream configuration as required.
