Christie embarks on laser phosphor cinema line

Christie recently staged a preview of its CP2208-LP laser phosphor (LaPH) projection technology to deliver 22,000 lumens brightness at BIRTV in China.

The unit will build on the CP2208 cinema projector and heralds the start of the Christie LaPh line for cinemas.

It is the company’s first laser phosphor product for cinema and will be available in early 2016.

Christie also plans to offer retrofit kits – on a lease or purchase basis - for customers with lamp-based digital cinema projectors.
