Canon has revealed the first in a new line of LCOS based XEED projectors aimed at the installation market.
The WUX4000 is the company’s first XEED to feature lens options and motorised lens shift, and is designed for corporate environments, higher education establishments and design applications.
The product continues Canon’s use of LCOS panel technology, and delivers native WUXGA resolution and a brightness of 4000 lumens. The company says that LCOS provides seamless images, with particularly faithful colour reproduction.
Three interchangeable lenses are available, including a standard lens, a long zoom lens and a fixed-focus wide angle lens, the latter of which Canon says is well suited to rear-projection installations.
Canon has also re-engineered the chassis from previous XEED models, to make it more modular in construction, and thus improve the serviceability of the product specifically for installation.
