A K-array loudspeaker system has been installed at Viola Park, a new sports centre and home of the ACF Fiorentina football club.
The new centre underwent a full AV system integration which included K-array audio products; the Viola Park sports centre is the largest sports centre in Italy and considered one of the largest in Europe, with 12 regulation pitches and stadiums, gyms, accommodation as well as medical, media and wellness centres.
Integrator, Professional Show, carried out the installation, supplying audio profucts at various spaces across the site.
The 3000-seat Curva Fiesole stadium is home to a Kgear system comprising a total of 21 GH12 loudspeakers and seven GS18 subwoofers in each bleacher, designed to harmonise with the stadium’s architecture and to provide high SPL for matches and events.
For each of the seven loudspeaker clusters, the three Kgear GH12 in-step array configurations are evenly distributed under the ceiling so that the positioning compensates for the up-tilt angle of the seat coverings. Each GH12 is angled downward with defined tilting angles to maximise coverage across the listening area. Additionally, each loudspeaker cluster is supported by a GS18 subwoofer to round out the system frequency response.
