Bluesound Professional has debuted its B170S networked streaming amplifier, designed as a complete stereo system for commercial applications.
The B170S is a networked streaming amplifier that features low-impedance lines out, a constant voltage option and energy-efficient amplification technology.
For high performance audio, the low impedance option can be used via four or eight Ohm low impedance outputs. The low impedance outputs can be used in applications where intelligibility and audio quality are essential.
Bulk speaker installations, such as corridors or high-traffic areas can be supported by the 70/100V constant voltage option to daisy-chain speakers.
The amplifier section includes various power options: 2 x 80W into 4/8Ω, 2 x 100W at 70V, or 1 x 100W at 100V for small or large installations. Thermostatic fan cooling and a standby mode are also provided to consume 6W of power.
The B170S can be mounted vertically or horizontally, with keyhole slots allowing for stealthy mounting options closer to where speakers will be installed. Up to six B170S units can be rack mounted into a 3U space with the racking accessory.
Additionally, Bluesound Professional’s partner music services, including SoundMachine, Custom Channels, SiriusXM for Business, Osic, Tunify and more are natively integrated into the B170S and can be controlled using the built-in BluOS operating system. Multiple zones of audio can be grouped together via the BluOS app with third-party control of all your audio zones while being able to select legal, commercially licensed music from nation-specific streaming services.
